This beautiful little garden was created and is cultivated in collaboration with dedicated community advocate Donna Johnson. Donna aka “Peaches” works tirelessly to uplift her community through neighborhood events and her food and clothing distribution efforts. (Learn more about Donna here(coming soon!))
Created in March 2025, these three small beds (6 by 10ft footprint) and a collection of container plantings (including a planter table) produced hundreds of servings of fresh veggies, bringing pride and nourishment. This mini garden’s high impact shows the value of putting small, shared gardens on people’s doorsteps. The Healing Garden was especially impactful because it’s in a “high traffic area” and next to the courtyard, a highly used shared community space.
